The short version
This website doesn't collect your personal information. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies.
The only ways we ever learn anything about you here are if you choose to email us, or through the ordinary server records and font service described below.
Our apps are a separate matter. Where a free version is supported by advertising, that does involve data collection by our ad provider; other apps collect nothing at all. Each app's own policy spells out exactly what it does — see below for SimplyWeather and Bowl.

Our apps are covered by their own policies. Each app states exactly what it does and does not do, because the answer differs from product to product. Where an app has its own privacy policy, that document governs the app — not this one.
The free version is supported by Google AdMob, which collects advertising data from the device. We run no servers and receive none of it ourselves. Premium stops the ad software from running at all. The full policy covers advertising, location, on-device storage, purchases and notifications.

There are no accounts, no sign-in, no contact forms and no newsletter on this site. We do not run analytics, we do not use advertising or tracking pixels, and we do not set cookies of our own.
Like virtually every website, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard technical logs — typically IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These records exist to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use them to build profiles, and we do not combine them with anything else.
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address and basic request information. We have no control over, and no access to, what Google does with that. If you would rather avoid it, a content blocker that blocks fonts.googleapis.com will stop the request; the site remains fully readable in a fallback typeface.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share your message or address with anyone.
Where it goes
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We hold no database of users to sell.
We should be straightforward about one thing, though: some of our free apps carry advertising, and we earn money from it. That advertising is delivered by Google, which collects data from the device to target and measure it — and Google may combine that with what it knows from elsewhere. We do not receive that data, but we do profit from ads built on it. If you would rather not participate, every app that carries ads offers a paid tier that stops the ad software from running.

Purchases of our apps are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
In our case the answer is usually short: unless you have emailed us, we hold nothing about you. If you have, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time and we will. Write to support@simpletonapps.com and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Our website and apps are suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.
If this policy changes in any way that matters — for example if we ever introduce analytics or advertising — we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
